Probate is the legal and financial processes involved when dealing with your assets after you have died. It's a lot simpler than it sounds, but it's really important!
Firstly, your will goes through the process of being approved in a court of law. It's then accepted as a valid public document that is your last true testament.
Once probate has been granted, your assets will then go to your next of kin or Executor to be distributed out in accordance with your will. That's it! If you don't have a will, this process can get very messy, very quickly.
